Indiana Johns

I know what you’re thinking – Spain and the Spanish islands do paella, not curry right?  Well this place does an excellent curry cooked by Indian chefs so they

know what they’re doing.
Indiana Johns is right at the heart of Cala D’or centre. You can sit inside or outside. It has lots of memorabilia of the Indiana Jones films on the walls.

The menu is excellent – they specialise in Indian food but do pretty much most others as well.

Usual poppadum’s dips.

Bombay Aloo in a proper lovely sauce.

This curry had no less than 12 bits of chicken. Truly excellent!

In a first that I’ve seen Leanne (the waitress) offers 3 strengths of heat for Madras curries. 3 being the hottest. Level 3 had to be done…
MENU:
MAIN- Very good comparable to most curry houses in the UK                                    16/20
STARTER/SIDE - As above you’ll find something familiar                                             7/10
VARIETY- Specialises in Indian but also does pretty much everything else               10/10
HEAT- One of the hottest I’ve had – easily Vindaloo strength in the UK                       4/5
DRINKS- No Cobras/Kingfishers but plenty of other Spanish beers                              3/5
VENUE:
ATMOS- The setting is ideal, sitting inside or outside is excellent                               17/20
SERVICE- The waitresses are all Dutch and were very friendly                                    8/10
VALUE- Over €25 per head. Probably the most expensive in Cala D’or but worth it.    7/10
LOCATION- Slap bang in the centre of Cala D’or – can’t get better than that                  5/5
BONUS- Free
Wi-Fi, footie on the telly, free drink at the end. Doesn’t get better!           5/5

Overall Score = 87%
Although it was excellent I’m sure the fact that I was on holiday and enjoying the hot weather contributed to the high score. Seriously though if you find yourself in Majorca then head to Cala D’or for what is probably the only curry house on the island. You will not be disappointed.

The Boiler Bag family enjoying an excellent curry!
