I Naga, Coney Hall

14th April 2012

This weekend, the Bromley curry connoisseurs ventured out of the town centre to nearby Coney Hall.  There are several Indian restaurants along the high street and we ended up in ‘I Naga’, mostly because of the chilli related name.

I had reservations about the place as it seemed very “coupley” and appeared too modern for my taste – but in the end, the six of us who went, were very impressed.

SCORE:
MENU -  Naga chillis used in many dishes, including "Possibly the hottest rice in the world"                8/10
HEAT -  The naga rice & ‘Bullet Naan’ weren’t as hot as expected but Lamb Naga was a scorcher!      8/10
SETTING - The Contemporary’ décor is rather dated. Could do with a refurb & a more Indian theme     4/10
SERVICE -    Standard.                                                                                                                           7/10
STAFF - Friendly enough.                                                                                                                       7/10
BEER -    Pints of Cobra, Kingfisher and also cider.                                                                               7/10
PRICE -   Less than £25 each with 2 rounds of drinks.                                                                            8/10
ATMOS -    They played 80's Power Ballads - which, although not traditional, were amusing.               5/10
OPENING HOURS -  Midnight at weekends.                                                                                            7/10

BONUS -   We were offered complimentary round of drinks.                                                                     8/10
