Raj Palace, Bromley

5th May 2012

After watching the FA Cup final and necking a few ‘cheeky tequilas’ in the Swan & Mitre, the connoisseurs sauntered into this somewhat under-rated venue.  Although the menu is not what you'd call memorable, it is definitely enjoyable and  the banquet deal they have (even on Saturday nights), make it outstanding value for money.

SCORE:

MENU – The classics are done well but not many unique dishes     6/10
HEAT – Chicken Palak, vindaloo hot, was a bit of scorcher!             6/10
SETTING – Near Bromley North, Empire cinema & a host of bars     8/10
SERVICE – Quick, in a good way. They are definitely on the ball     7/10
STAFF – Attentive enough but not especially helpful or friendly      6/10
BEER - Pints of Cobra but nothing out of the ordinary                       7/10
PRICE – Very reasonable considering we ordered an awful lot!        8/10
ATMOS – Good for a town centre. The booths are quite cosy!          7/10
OPEN HRS – Sun - Sat: 18:00 - 23:15                                              6/10
BONUS – No complimentary drinks but it was very good value        7/10

Richie, Crispy and Boiler Bag soak up the atmosphere!

Over all, one of the better venues in Bromley town centre.
